Letter to Myself

Below is a letter written to me. I am moved & humbled by the fact that someone loves me enough to say such beautiful things about me. It speaks to exactly the type of person I strive to be and I can't think of a better way to repay such love than to exemplify the person described in this letter. If you haven't already, I invite you to write yourself such a letter...and then be the person you describe in your letter. 

Dear DaSharc, 
I'm so glad you are who you are. You are kind, funny, compassionate, understanding, and a joy to be around. I appreciate the way you step into people's lives with an uplifting spirit, giving of yourself by sharing the wisdom, insight, and perspective you have gained in life. You always seem to know just the right things to say in any situation and are willing to give whatever is needed of yourself to make people feel happy, comfortable, and empowered. You give advice freely and without being judgmental. Everything you do is for the purpose of enriching the lives of those around you and you always focus on the greater good, never seeking personal gain. You are gracious, humble, authentic, and always carry yourself with honor and dignity. You strive for integrity and harmony in everything you undertake. Your healing spirit has touched the lives of so many people and I am very proud to be one of them. I love you with every ounce of my being. Thank you for everything you bring to this world.

    Sharc! You're so fabulous...how did I get so lucky to have your for my BFF? Dig your letter to yourself. It was something to write that letter, wssn't it? It wasn't easy to say the words to OURSELVES but when they told us that we had to read them to the GROUP...OY! Wasn't it fascinating and enlightening to learn that we could share those most intimate of thoughts out loud and not fall through the floor in the process? As different as we all are, we're all the same :)

She expects that they will come. Based on this definition, an expectations is, in essence, merely a form of hope..or trust. Trust that what has been created by intention will occur. The Journey has begun...

I am beginning to see how the seeds of integrity, accountability, and honor I have been planting in my life this past year are beginning to bear fruit...when I chose to create an extraordinary life for myself by simply being extraordinary, things just started happening for me. I enjoy the work I do & have some awesome new friends who...get ready for this...have standards!!!! More & more I am finding that the people who cross my path either live their lives with integrity & honor...or they don't.
